About The Australian ITF Taekwon-Do Association

The A.I.T.A. Inc. was incorporated on the 9th December 1999.

The A.I.T.A. Inc. is NOT the National Governing Body (NGB) of ITF Taekwon-Do in Australia. It is never intended to be the NGB. It is simply an association where people can share their passion and experiences in Taekwon-Do.

The A.I.T.A. Inc. is NOT represented in the National Governing Body (NGB) of ITF Taekwon-Do in Australia. It does not interfere nor participate in the operations of the NGB.

At the A.I.T.A., we understand that your Taekwon-Do club is your personal experience of Taekwon-Do. We respect that every club is different and it is your way of training that makes your club unique. Upon join the A.I.T.A., members are NOT required and NOT expected to change the way they conduct their normal training or to change their affiliations with other associations, clubs or governing bodies.

The Australian ITF Taekwon-Do Association (AITA) is dedicated to promoting the pure art of Taekwon-Do. Its members are devoted to upholding the true discipline of this art.

Courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self control and indomitable spirit (the principles of our art) are not just a hollow gesture of nobility but form the core of our training. Afterall, mastery of the physical aspects of Taekwon-Do is no mastery at all.

Members are all certified with Dan and Gup certifications from the ITF. The A.I.T.A. Inc may also provides on request its members with Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance with Worldwide Sports Insurance Co.

State and national level competitors are subsidised for the competition fees as well as a partial subsidy for flights and accomodation. The Association also allocates funds for the sponsor program.
